S&ME is seeking an individual to join our Geotechnical team in Atlanta, Georgia as a Services Manager and help us provide engineering solutions to our clients.
What You Will Do:
As a Geotechnical Services Manager you will:
- Manage a multidisciplinary team to deliver geotechnical projects.
- Actively lead in project management, business development, safety, quality, finance, HR, and risk management.
- Spearhead or delegate proposal and report development.
- Strategically allocate staff to maximize profitability and meet financial targets.
- Drive cross-selling of services, engage in Business Development, and leverage WinPlan tools.
- Cultivate industry connections by participating in local organizations to strengthen the company's brand and expand professional networks.
Who You Are:
- You have aHigh School diploma or GED
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering or a Construction related field, preferred
- You have at least 8 years of experience in Operational and/or Project Management, experience within the A/E/C industry
- You have experience building and maintaining client relationships, proven ability to grow a business with experience winning work and increasing backlog;
- You have the ability and desire to divide time between the office and regular site visits in the field to support and engage field staff
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
You are willing and able to perform the physical demands of this position with the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment such as:
- Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions
- Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially up to 12 hours a day
- Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs, (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
- Maneuvering field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground around active construction sites
