Our client is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with Expertise in Dams, Oil & Gas, Mine Site Reclamation, and CCR for State, Local, and Federal Programs.
We are looking for a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to manage and support projects focused on dams, mine site reclamation, coal combustion residual (CCR) impoundment closures, and oil & gas development. We are looking for a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to manage and support projects focused on dams, mine site reclamation, coal combustion residual (CCR) impoundment closures, and oil & gas development. This is a fantastic remote opportunity for a professional with strong technical expertise to contribute to critical engineering projects.
About the Role:
- Conduct field data collection and geotechnical analyses for a variety of projects
- Assist with geotechnical design, calculations, drafting, and reporting
- Support the planning and execution of geotechnical investigations and instrumentation programs
- Provide construction observation and help with the preparation of engineering proposals
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in CCR impoundment closures, mine waste disposal, mine site reclamation, dam evaluations, soft ground engineering, and oil & gas development
- Active EIT or PE license
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, SLIDE, and AutoCAD
- Experience with geotechnical investigations (SPT and CPT), lab data analysis, structural analyses, and design, as well as construction observation and QA/QC
- Ability to assist with field data collection, report preparation, geotechnical analyses, and design tasks under supervision
- This role is fully remote, but you must be based in the US.
- Salary Range: $90,000-$150,000 based on prior experience
