Selectek has partnered with Civil Geotech Engineering Company in Pittsburg PA. Our client is looking for a. Geotechnical Engineer to manage projects for Dams, Oil & Gas, Mine site reclamation and CCR for State, Local and Federal Programs.
BS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an ABET Accredited civil/Geotech program
5 plus years of experience with a minimum of 3 years in coal combustion residual (CCR) impoundment closures, mine waste disposal, mine site reclamation, dam structural stability evaluations, soft ground engineering/ground improvement, instrumentation programs, deep foundations, and oil & gas development
EIT Active or PE
Perform geotechnical engineering, construction observation, and design assignments under the supervision of experienced engineering personnel. Technical and management responsibilities can increase in complexity with training under close supervision.
Assigned tasks may include field data collection, construction monitoring, calculations, preliminary design, and drafting for geotechnical engineering evaluations and reports.
Assist with processing field data, performing geotechnical analyses, report and drawing preparation, and assist in preparation of engineering proposals. Senior engineering professionals will direct and provide peer review of all work
Word, Excel, SLIDE, AutoCAD
Experience planning and performing geotechnical investigations, including conventional SPT and CPT-based in-situ testing investigations, evaluating lab testing data, characterizing material properties, performing geotechnical & structural analyses and designs, and providing construction QA/QC. Implementing instrumentation programs and performing geotechnical analyses for dams, soft ground engineering, foundations, and earth retention structures are a plus
