Job Overview:
APTIM is currently seeking an energetic and motivated intern in our Denver, CO office or at our Hill AFB Project Site near Salt Lake City, UT to support various project activities. The successful candidate will possess a desire to participate in all phases of environmental characterization, including those sites impacted by emerging contaminants. APTIM's internship program provides students with the opportunity to apply skills gained in an academic setting to challenging projects and meaningful work assignments. Interns will be paired with experienced mentors and should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, finishing their internship having gained a broad experience in various aspects of working in the Environmental Industry. This is a Temporary position.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
+ Work tasks will be a combination of office work and onsite at active project sites.
+ Ensures conformance to applicable codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures.
+ Works on straightforward tasks using established procedures; all work will be subject to review by others.
+ Under the supervision of an experienced team member, apply fundamental geologic skills and knowledge to complete assigned tasks.
+ Collaborate with current technical staff in the analysis and interpretation of geologic data.
+ Participate in field tasks including but not limited to collection of environmental samples from various media (e.g., groundwater, surface water, soil, sediment, and vapor) and logging of boreholes during drilling activities.
+ Possess the ability to thoroughly and accurately summarize field data and present results to senior team members.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Attending an accredited educational institution pursuing a degree in Geology.
+ Preference is for candidate to have completed their Junior year in college with expected graduation in late 2025 or Spring 2026.
+ Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills
+ Must be a self-starter, excel in time management, and work well under pressure.
+ Must be available to work in various settings such as in an office or remotely in the field, depending on project needs.
+ Ability to complete 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and wear proper PPE for work on hazardous waste sites; lifting and physical work will be required.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age with clean driving record.
+ Must be able to work in the field in all types of field conditions/weather.
+ Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
+ Willingness to work occasional overtime, including weekends, to meet project deadlines.
+ Ability to travel to project locations that would require overnight stays.
+ The position pay range is $20-22/hour
