Geo-Structural Application Engineer - Intech

Position Overview

Intech Anchoring Systems (Intech) has been supplying commercial and industrial contractors with geo-structural engineering products, materials, and solutions for 25 years. Intech has an immediate opening and for an Application Engineer with a desire to work for a quality company with superior products and a reputation for excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Providing technical support for the sales team and partners
• Evaluation of existing conditions including existing structures and geotechnical site conditions and determination of the best design approach for projects.
• Preparation of design submittals for various foundation, and ground improvement systems.
• Provide training to contractors on the design of foundation systems. Both in person and virtual.
• Create and modify drawings for our products as required.
• Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

Core Competencies

• Organization – Must be extremely organized and capable of working on multiple projects and estimates at once. Must be able to see all aspects of the projects to close, not allowing any details to go unattended
• Communication – Displays strong written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills. Must be comfortable making phone calls.
• Problem Solving – Work with field personnel and management to come to a quick resolution of problems.

Qualifications for an Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (structural or geotechnical).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, LPile)
• Background in structural or geotechnical engineering that has 0-4 years of experience, either has an EIT license or ability to quickly obtain.
• Experience with geo-structural solutions and submittal reports is ideal, but not required.
• Self-starting highly motivated and goal-oriented individual.
• Excellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on quality and safety.
• Very organized with a systematic approach to tasks to achieve accuracy and efficiency.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Analytical with the ability to examine issues from multiple viewpoints.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree (Required)
• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics & Surveying preferred
• EIT License is a plus
• 0-4 years experience in geo-structural solutions
