Baylor Scott and White Health Specialty Clinic – Killeen Hemingway is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon to join our Community Surgery Program in Killeen, TX . This is an employed career opportunity with a generous benefits package that offers work-life balance, a competitive salary, productivity bonus, moving allowance, and no state income tax.
We are looking for a committed team player with a favorable work/ training history that is interested in developing and growing a community hospital based general surgery practice. The ideal candidate should be focused on quality, and be able to effectively collaborate with referring physicians, agencies and other professionals to provide outstanding patient care in a community based and resourced hospital setting. This community based surgical practice will have a robust tertiary and quaternary referral center (Baylor Scott & White Healthcare) as a partnership to assist with more advanced, complex and subspecialty care intensive patients.
Position Highlights
· Step into an established community practice with local surgeons helping to provide hospital coverage.
· Community based general surgery practice.
· Rapidly growing patient population with established referral patterns from primary care.
· At least three years of associated experience preferred, but will consider new graduates.
· Build upon and support an established program of excellence for general surgery.
· Academic affiliation with Baylor College of Medicine
· A tertiary/quaternary referral center partner to transfer and manage advanced, complex and subspecialty care intensive patients.

AdventHealth Central Texas is a 230-bed acute-care hospital with a Level IV Trauma designation. Located in Killeen, the medical center offers a wide range of clinical and surgical services that include an emergency department open 24/7, cardiovascular care, orthopedics, diagnostic imaging, and other services, and plays a central role in community wellness.
Through various contracts with AdventHealth, Baylor Scott & White Health provides hospitalist, physician, nurse practitioner, and CRNA support to name a few, to help with their staffing needs. In addition, five Baylor Scott & White Health clinics including three care clinics, a specialty clinic, and McLane Children’s Scott & White Clinic – Killeen provide physician services to patients in the Killeen community.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctorate Degree in Medicine
- Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
- Where Applicable - Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her speciality or demonstrate board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
