Join us. **Job Description** AECOM Tishman has an immediate need for a General Superintendent for our new, out of the ground, large-scale datacenter in Northern Virginia. + Accountable and overall responsibility for on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects. + Leads, directs and manages the entire direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project. + Primary Liaison with client for day-to-day activities and long-term operations. + Communicates and directs through other superintendents' changes or modification of jobsite activities within assigned area of operations. + Accountable for compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards. + Primary interface and engagement with Project Executive and manager group to coordinate efforts. **About Construction Management - AECOM Tishman** Since 1898, AECOM Tishman has managed the construction of some of the world’s most iconic buildings. AECOM Tishman’s staff manages all consultants and contractors on a project, representing client interests throughout the project cycle. In total, AECOM Tishman has built more than 900 million square feet – including the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center in New York. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirement:** + BA/BS Engineering, Construction Management or similar curriculum and 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Superintendent experience in ground up construction. **Preferred Requirements:** + 10+ years’ experience with site clearing, site work & ground up construction + Excellent planning/communication/writing/priority management skills + Oversee all daily operations, including all construction activity and management of sub-contractor and third party vendors + Assist with creation and updating of master project schedule and manage to same by ensuring timely completion by all subcontractors and vendors + Ensure jobsite safety by maintaining & strictly enforcing corporate/industry/OSHA safety policies & standards + Manage & coordinate onsite workforces and track productivity + Manage/plan/guide/mentor CM’s project team of other superintendents and assistants + Prepare and manage jobsite documentation including daily reports, incident/injury reports, project photo’s, progress logs, delivery schedules, safety/toolbox talks and other documentation + Communicate and plan regularly with all stakeholders, including executive management, project managers, client, architects, engineers, etc. + Maintain/manage/encourage jobsite labor harmony + Maintain/manage/track permitting process with expeditors, locals AHJ’s and local community **Additional Information** + This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future. + Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. + This position may include relocation. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
