General Store Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our high-end furniture store in Coral Gables. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in retail management, particularly in luxury or boutique environments.
The General Manager will be responsible for managing the sales team, driving performance through sales KPIs, implement effective business strategies that will build brand awareness and ensure that our showroom delivers an exceptional customer experience.
The General Manager responsibilities are divided in two main areas:
Sales and business development responsibilities:
- Analyzing the business performance:
- Keep track of the profitability, revenue, pricing and cost of every sale. The General Manager is in charge of approving any discount, complementary service or any additional cost the transaction may have. This way, we ensure the profitability of the business. - Supervise, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets:
- Establish the teams monthly goal and overseeing their progress, ensuring they are doing the correct follow up and approach to the client.
- Supervising that the team’s commissions payment is calculated correctly.
- Overseeing all import orders, to make sure the team is keeping their client informed during the entire process.
- Keep the sales force informed of any changes made in the factory: discontinued products or fabrics, new collections or new prices.
- Support all team members with any problem they may have with their clients or architects. - Analyze and report on sales performance using KPIs, providing actionable insights to optimize sales and customer satisfaction:
The General Manager should send monthly reports to the directors, which include:
- Compare the projected sales with the real sales weekly.
- Profitability of the sales made monthly (using the accounting information)
- Stock rotation – products that are more attractive vs products that are not.
- Average ticket sold per client - Taking lead role in solving issues that may arise.
- Supervising customer interactions and, if needed, resolving issues promptly to maintain a high level of satisfaction. - Collaborate with marketing to enhance promotions and campaigns:
- Creating and executing loyalty strategies for the different type of clients.
- Proposing alliances with brands that may help us with the brand awareness.
- Giving feedback about the digital leads that social media and google attracts.
- Collaborate in the organization of any event that we may host.
- Attending networking events that could ensure new business opportunities. - Supervising the store’s visual merchandising:
-Supervise inventory levels, merchandise presentation, and store maintenance to align with brand expectations.
- Managing and controlling the inventory in the stores and warehouse with the help of the logistics team in order to identify the products that should be exhibit and their priorities.
- Managing the discounts for every campaign:
- Product selection for the sales campaign.
- Propose amount of discount for the directors to approve. - Market research:
- Analyzing the competitor’s prices, products and commercial strategies.
- Keeping track of trends in the market.
- Purchase:
- Propose product selection and materials for the showroom exhibition.
- Supervise the stock import order and inform the sales team with the help of the Sourcing and Logistics department. - Pricing strategy:
- Propose sale prices for the accessories, according to the market offer.
Management responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily business activities.
- Creating and managing budgets.
- Evaluating performance and productivity.
- Researching and identifying growth opportunities.
- Supervising and formulating policies for the staff.
- Coordinates payments for the staff and providers.
Requirements:
- 5-year experience managing similar businesses.
- Communication skills.
- Leadership qualities.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized.
- Superior knowledge of business functions.
- Result-driven professional.
- Fluent Spanish.
Conditions for the position:
- Paid health and personal days: 5 every 12 months, which are not accumulative.
- Paid vacations: 1 week during the first 6 months. Starting month 12, 2 weeks of paid vacations. Starting month 24, 3 weeks of paid vacations. Starting month 36, 4 weeks of paid vacations.
*this must be coordinated and approved by directives. - Festivities: New Years day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas day.
*When the showroom opens in any of these festivities, the free day will be replaced in other date, previously coordinated and approved by directives.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 Per Year
