Automotive General Service Technician / Mechanic

Job Overview:

We are looking for technicians who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. This is the position for you if you are looking master your craft as your gain experience. The technicians we seek are responsible for excellence in the work they perform, the environment they keep, and their efficiency to maximize weekly performance. Our culture is highly protected and candidates must have a positive attitude.  The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what's right for our guests.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• General Service Technicians / Mechanics perform all maintenance and repair services including but not limited to; oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, suspension alignments, tire mount and balance, fluid services and more
• Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively
• Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
• Ensure all preventive maintenance reports are complete and accurate
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know
• Assist in all housekeeping functions as directed by Management
• Work closely with Shop Foreman and the service department to ensure repairs are performed timely and efficiently.  
• Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization

• Positive attitude and a desire to serve customers.
• Current drivers license
• This is an entry level position. We would prefer Tech School training or a high mechanical aptitude working on vehicles desired
• Basic starter set of tools and rolling tool cart required
• Desire to master entry level skills and work your way to a higher level technician
• Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
• Professional appearance and strong communication
• A desire for long-term career development

Physical Requirements:

• Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
• Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds.
• Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head.
• Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair.
• Have the needed dexterity to efficiently use hand tools.
• Walk/stand for the majority of their workday.
• Drive manual transmissions vehicles.
• Efficiently navigate a computer
