Job Title: General Manager – Manufacturing & Distribution

Location: Iowa City, IA

Work Arrangement: Full-Time, Onsite

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 annually, plus 40%+ bonus potential and full benefits (relocation expenses covered)

Our client, a well-established and growing mid-sized manufacturer and distributor with over $50MM in annual revenue, is seeking a General Manager to lead their operations and drive their next phase of growth. Job Summary:
As the General Manager, you will take on full P&L responsibility while overseeing all manufacturing and distribution functions. This includes driving strategic and tactical plans, cultivating a lean culture, and mentoring a team of approximately 100 employees. Key Responsibilities:

• Assume full P&L responsibility, ensuring financial performance aligns with company goals.
• Manage, lead, and develop all manufacturing and distribution functions and associated business processes.
• Mentor and grow direct and indirect reports (approximately 100 employees).
• Foster a lean culture to drive efficiency and productivity across operations.
• Develop and manage strategic and tactical plans, including budget creation and oversight.
• Oversee key functions such as production planning, scheduling, quality control, safety, inventory control, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (required).
• 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing and/or distribution environments.
• Proven full P&L experience, with a track record of driving business performance.
• Strong working knowledge of:
  • Production planning and scheduling.
  • Quality control and safety protocols.
  • Inventory control and lean principles.
  • Strategic and tactical planning.
• Exceptional leadership, management, and people development skills.
