Position Summary:
MedInsight is seeking a General Manager to drive the vision and execution of our provider product portfolio. This role demands expertise in the provider healthcare market and value-based care. The General Manager will track market and competitive dynamics, acting as an intermediary between market/client business requirements and the product roadmap. They will drive strategic plans for achieving product-market fit and manage the long-term customer roadmap, involving sales, marketing, engineering, client services, clients, prospects, partners, and other groups. This position will be employed by MedInsight practice but serves the joint interests of MedInsight and New York Atlanta Health practices.
This role requires a strong "will to win" and assertiveness to drive product line monetization and growth anchored in market/client needs, wants, and expectations. The ideal candidate must also cultivate a deep internal strategic awareness, demonstrate the ability to influence executives and peers, and effectively translate concepts into executable plans.
Position Responsibilities:
Drive revenue growth
- Act as the voice of the market, providing competitive intelligence and emerging ideas to expand market share (with Equity Principals and Principals).
- Direct product marketing strategy and go-to-market plans for new product launches (with marketing).
- Engage directly in client prospecting and product sales solutions (with sales).
- Develop and advance relationships with strategic channel and business partners.
Drive client adoption and expansion
- Ensure product delivery and implementation meet client requirements (with client services).
- Strategize opportunities to retain and grow the annual recurring revenue base (with account management).
- Develop product marketing strategies for client adoption and expansion (with account management).
Drive product strategy
- Spearhead strategic product line growth planning (with Equity Principals and Principals).
- Direct new product development through all phases (with product development).
- Guide product research, design, and the development roadmap (with engineering).
Head product portfolio management
- Lead multi-stakeholder product line governance committee, ensuring executive level presentation of plans and information for efficient decision-making.
- Oversee product line financial forecasts, budget and investments, financial results and KPIs.
- Act as an internal thought leader, presenting across MedInsight, New York Atlanta Health and other Milliman practices to advance knowledge and understanding of the product portfolio.
May supervise 1-5 product strategy managers and/or analysts. Lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment that encourages high performance aligned to business objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. MBA or other advanced degrees preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in healthcare analytics or healthcare software product.
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on in product management, product marketing or product development.
- Demonstrated thought leadership in value-based care and provider healthcare business line.
- Ability to directly and indirectly manage multiple project teams simultaneously to achieve results.
- Ability to conceptualize new ideas and effectively translate into achievable work plans.
- Ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches.
- Ability to communicate and present at executive-level and to influence clients, Equity Principals and Principals.
Compensation and Location:
- The salary range is $153,000-311,000, depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Seattle, WA or remote. Position will require frequent visits to Seattle and/or New York offices. Relocation to Seattle open.
