General Manager at The Planet Group

A General Manager responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic direction of the business unit.  Proven experience as a General Manager in the underground utilities services sector or industrial services. This role includes managing operations, financial performance, employee performance and customer satisfaction.  The GM ensures the company operates efficiently, meets business goals, and adheres to its values and policies.  

Key Responsibilities:  

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Develop and implement business strategies that align with company goals and long-term objectives.
• Develop and manage budgets to meet business goals.
• Review financial performance, including sales reports, budgets, and forecasts. 
• Hire, train, and supervise department heads and key personnel.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience as a General Manager in the underground utilities services sector (water/wastewater sewer systems), industrial services or construction industry.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Financial and budgeting expertise.
