Job Title: River's Edge Resort General Manager

Reports to: Area General Manager
Job Summary: The General Manager is responsible for overseeing hotel operations, with a strong focus on the Front Office, to ensure exceptional guest service and operational efficiency. This role involves managing room reservations, front office systems, supplies inventory, and scheduling. The position requires a hands-on approach, assisting in various departments and working closely with housekeeping and maintenance to provide a seamless guest experience. The role is crucial in upholding company standards and supporting the General Manager in achieving the hotel’s operational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Front Desk activities, ensuring the highest level of guest service during the check-in and check-out process.
- Oversee room reservations, front office systems, and manage supplies inventory to ensure smooth operations.
- Train, supervise, counsel, schedule, evaluate, and motivate all Front Desk associates.
- Work closely with housekeeping and maintenance departments to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
- Use effective management skills and judgment to solve operational issues, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with company standards to maintain consistent high-quality guest relations.
- Effectively communicate with guests and staff, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear instructions and resolve inquiries.
- Organize, conduct, and/or attend meetings to share and receive pertinent information.
- Assist in all areas of operations as required, demonstrating a fully hands-on approach.
- Support and embrace the management company’s culture and core values.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum of one to two years’ experience as an Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
