In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our residential landscaping operations. You'll be leading a dedicated team of groundskeepers, ensuring the highest quality of work and safety standards. This role is an exciting mix of strategic planning, team leadership, and hands-on work.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of residential landscaping projects, from initial planning to completion.
- Lead, train, and supervise a small crew of groundskeepers in various tasks, including sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and sprinkler installation and repair.
- Ensure all work is performed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with industry best practices.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring all team members adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring all work is completed within allocated resources.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during project execution.
- Continually seek ways to improve processes, enhance service quality, and increase operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the landscaping or construction industry, with a focus on residential projects.
- Proven experience in a leadership role, with a track record of managing and motivating teams.
- Extensive knowledge of landscaping techniques and best practices, including irrigation maintenance.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols in the landscaping and construction industry.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent project management skills, with an ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to liaise effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Certification in Landscape Management or a related field would be an added advantage.
