The Opportunity:
The General Manager is responsible for the end-to-end business for the Distribution Center. This position is responsible for managing the Distribution Center’s leaders, employees, ensuring productivity targets are achieved, and ensuring all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly. The General Manger is also responsible for the P&L as well as being the champion for LEAN initiatives to facilitate a culture of continuous improvement.

Your Impact:

Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures

Conduct daily team meetings to ensure production targets are met and address process gaps

Recruit, select, orient, coach, motivate, and hold employees accountable

Manage inventory control
-
Monitor warehouse layout and ensure efficient space utilization

Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
-
Manage relationships with vendors, coworkers, and management team to ensure that the Distribution Center has all the supplies, information, and tools needed to be successful

Establish ongoing training programs and conduct employee reviews and process audits

Work directly with sales personnel to ensure special orders are shipped accurately, timely, and according to specifications

Coordinate with operations personnel to address discrepancies and errors in the supply chain as well as process irregularities

Regularly produce reports and statistics for the organization that articulate the current state as well as future state of the Distribution Center to other members of leadership

Oversee facilities maintenance, equipment maintenance, budgetary events, and regulatory required tasks
What you bring:

High School Diploma/GED
-
5+ years of supervisory experience in warehouse, supply chain, operations, or distribution
-
Forklift, inventory management, ERP/WMS Software experience
-
Continuous Improvement background with demonstrated results

High level of business acumen and leadership presence

Forklift certified
-
Proficient Microsoft Office application experience, specifically with Excel

Strong leadership skills

Strong verbal communication skills
-
Exceptional interpersonal and managerial skills

Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Open to occasional travel on a quarterly basis
