We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced General Manager to oversee multiple venues and execute seamless events.
As the General Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our venues, working closely with our dedicated service staff to deliver exceptional experiences to our valued clients. From managing service levels to maintaining inventory and communicating with our event design teams, you will play a pivotal role in driving our success. We are seeking a self-starter, motivated and proactive leader for this role, an individual with passion who approaches every task with energy, focus, purpose, and enthusiasm.
This position reports to the Vice President of Operations.
Responsibilities:
Include the following, but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with Human Resources on staffing and employee relations.
- Directing and developing staff to uphold our standards of excellence.
- Mentoring, coaching, teaching, and training subordinate associates to excel in their roles.
- Connecting with event contact and guests to ensure complete satisfaction with the event.
- Conducting effective meetings with all venue personnel to ensure seamless and efficient service.
- Maintaining venue property and equipment including maintenance, sanitation, and security, to ensure a safe and inviting environment.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by effectively managing events from start to finish.
- Managing event logistics including venue setup, timelines, vendors, and ambiance.
- Developing ideas and strategies to improve operations and profitability, sharing with Senior Leadership.
- Leading by example and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining profitability of the venue, responsible for venue P+L.
- Participating in hospitality webinars and conferences and staying up-to-date on industry trends.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in hospitality or a related field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Valid driver's license and access to insured transportation.
