As a small-medium sized business in the energy efficiency and commercial building industry, our goal is to change the world one building at a time through service excellence, integrity, and innovation. We are looking for a full-time General Manager to help lead the Intelli-Hood (IH) business through the next chapter, building upon the industry-leading position for commercial kitchen controls into an expanded solutions provider in the industry. The ideal candidate will have strong business development, organizational leadership, and strategic planning skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This person will have ultimate responsibility for the business unit and will report directly to the COO of Melink Corporation.

General Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual planning and execution of the business unit (BU) strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and market opportunities. Contribute to the development of the BU’s three-year vision by identifying growth initiatives and long-term objectives.
- Prepare and manage the annual budget and take responsibility for delivering a strong financial performance (P&L or Profit and Loss) statement for the business unit. Focus on driving revenue growth, optimizing costs, and achieving profitability targets.
- Assist in the oversight and accountability of regular business operations, production, order fulfillment, sales, and applications engineering, by leading relevant department heads to streamline processes and meet performance benchmarks.
- Develop and coach direct team members, as well as greater BU members, by providing recognition, accountability, and individual development plans to foster growth and accountability at all levels.
- Collaborate and negotiate with key customers and strategic partners, such as vendors, subcontractors, and both domestic and international resellers to secure advantageous terms and drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Work closely with Marketing and Sales departments to determine the go-to-market strategy, set competitive pricing, plan sales promotions, and explore additional solutions to enhance market positioning.
- Drive efficiency by focusing on cost control, process improvements, and system integration.
- Collaborate with corporate departments such as Technology Human Resources, and Accounting & Finance to ensure the BU’s priorities are clearly understood.
- Measure and enhance productivity by analyzing individual performance data, financial data, and activity reports. Use data insights to implement improvements and drive results.
- Determine labor and material resource needs to fulfill consumer demand while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Assist with, or prepare and update, the organization’s operations manual and policies, ensuring compliance and operational consistency.
- Approve the hiring and termination of employees to build a high-performing team and address underperformance when necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, new technologies, and market conditions relevant to the division and industry. This role determines which partnerships, scopes, and technologies the BU will allocate resources to.

General Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred not required.
- 10 years of relevant experience required, experience in building technologies, controls, or HVAC a plus.
- Proven management and leadership skills with a demonstrated track record.
- Extensive knowledge of business operations with a clear understanding of business flow.
- Strong work ethic, a sense of urgency, and great interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret financial data as needed to establish and/or adjust goals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and General ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus.
- Ability to contribute to an aligned vision and create strategy accordingly.
- Strong passion for the mission: driving energy efficiency for our partners.
