Job Description Firehouse Subs Restaurant - General Manager
Firehouse Subs® is one of the nation’s leading fast-casual restaurant chains with a commitment to and passion for hearty and flavorful food, heartfelt service, and public safety. Providing support for more than 1,200 Firehouse Subs restaurants in 46 states, Puerto Rico, and Canada - we are currently seeking a General Manager to join our team.
The General Manager is responsible for leading a team of Crew Members in all aspects of restaurant operations.
They are a hospitality professional that leads with a Guest services mentality.
The incumbent in this position will lead our Shift Managers, and Crew Members on the front lines of our operations, adhering to and enforcing our standards, and ensuring that our Guests are presented with a great experience.
The General Manager is a brand representative that maintains a patient and positive attitude while championing the Mission of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Ensure the profitability of the business by operating shifts within established guidelines and requirements for food cost, labor, controllables, utilities, and sales growth.
• Provide leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior guest service, quality, and cleanliness while embracing the Firehouse Subs® “culture” and mission and vision statements.
• Collaborate with the Owners in coordinating and implementing current operations game plans and company initiatives in a profitable and timely manner.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching employees.
• Ensure all required programs, reports, and legal documents are accurate, complete, and accomplished on schedule.
• Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance to all local, state, and federal regulations to include health regulations, hour and wage regulations, age restrictions, fair employment practices, ADA, and any other appropriate regulations required for the legal operation of the business.
• Ensure knowledge, adherence, and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs® Policies and Procedures.
• Actively participate in all Public Safety Foundation initiatives
Requirements:
• Restaurant management experience required
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent menu and product knowledge
• Represent Firehouse Subs® in a professional, positive manner at all times.
• Communicate effectively to the owers and other Office Personnel any and all issues that may impact our business.
• Ability to stand for extensive periods of time over a full workday.
• Willing to accept and complete any other duties assigned by the owners and leadership team.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs Shift
Availability Requirements:
This is a full-time position that requires restaurant management and oversight with a working schedule including day, night, and weekend shifts.
Candidate will need to attain food safety certification if hired.
