As an ideal candidate you will be a born leader with previous managerial experience. You will have proven experience overseeing operations, potentially human resources, company finances, inventory, sales and communications departments. You are an expert communicator with a strong ability to delegate responsibilities and collaborate across a wide range of departments. Ultimately, you are driven by the desire to lead a team toward maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Actively recruit, interview, hire and coach new and existing employees within a department or business unit
- Shift supervision, including opening and closing the store, managing payroll, creating weekly schedules, staff tasks, duties and goals assigned on a daily basis
- Know and master every job title including job descriptions and all processes that are behind it
- Collaborate with marketing to achieve desired campaign efforts
- Create, review, implement and update SOP’s
- Ensure highest product knowledge proficiency
- Evaluate KPIs and Sales Reports to create and implement action plans to improve business performance
- Procure quality products to keep up with market trends
- Maintain healthy inventory levels and healthy vendor relationships
- Regularly reviews and monitors all aspects of inventory management, including Daily Cycle Counts, Vendor Orders, Receiving and processing of new products, Account Payables and any other inventory related processes
- Plan, coordinate, and merchandise setups, promotional signage, visual compliance, layout changes, to implement and maintain the store as set forth by company standards
- Drive revenue and meet sales goals by implementing all company processes and guidelines
- Performance manage team through company tools to achieve overall business success
- Create and implement developmental succession plans for team members
- Analyze sales data and generate reports periodically to guarantee all targets are met
- Oversee /Audit all daily operations to ensure success; cash control, inventory control, shrink control, labor control, store procedures, store maintenance through Company’s SOPs and processes
- Enforcement of Compliance in all managers and team day to day operations
- Improve internal processes for better productivity
- Complete business documents (i.e. 8300 forms, EDD forms, etc.)
- Manage budgets and monitor financial health of a location or business unit
- Create and implement strategic weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business plans with managers to ensure maximum revenue
- Provide input to the Regional Manager concerning customer needs, new product, competition and pricing
- Excellent leadership skills, including goal setting, motivating, training and mentorship
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening
- Data driven mindset with ability to make recommendations based upon data and results
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in business acumen practices, but not limited to finance, HR, operations, merchandising and sales
- Keen strategic thinking and planning
- Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced or high-pressure environment
The General Manager must be a “people” person, helpful, cheerful, poised, even-tempered with a positive attitude and managerial experience. Store Managers must be committed to great work ethic, supervise, motivate and lead others by being a role model in all aspects of business.
General manager’s minimum physical requirements include: Ability to stand for an extended period of time. Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store which entails lifting.
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business. Ability to commute to different locations.
