Job Summary: Under the direction of the Vice President, the GM directs a Team of Divisional Managers, who are responsible for our Transfer Stations operating to Company guidelines and State Environmental Quality Rules and Regulations and supervises the operators, laborers and all other personnel assigned to the transfer station.
What You’ll Do:
Developing key performance goals and managing the performance of staff.
Creating and implementing strategies for business growth.
Hiring new staff within a department or business unit.
Ensuring that departments or units deliver quality offerings to clients.
Working closely with account managers and other senior staff to retain clients.
Developing new solutions to meet client needs.
Improving internal processes for better productivity.
Overseeing large projects and interpreting performance reports.
Managing the budget and monitoring the financial health of a location or business unit.
Supervises all Transfer Station operators, independent contractors, laborers and other assigned personnel.
Supervises and ensures that all of the required reports and paperwork are completely and correctly filed out and submitted.
Checks cleanliness of Transfer Station areas.
Reviews and inspects daily operations of the Transfer Station including heavy equipment, transfer trailers, to ensure that operations at the Transfer Station are performed as smoothly and safe as is reasonably possible.
Reviews Maintenance Department's activities at the Transfer Station and Shop. These activities include removal, replacing of hydraulic hoses, remove and replace hydraulic cylinders, perform other maintenance as required.
Investigates and documents accidents and property damage.
Conducts and documents safety instructional meetings with personnel.
Responds to after-hours calls and fills in for other employees as assigned.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:
- Knowledge of mechanical operation, routine maintenance, and minor repairs of diesel equipment such as the removal/replacement of hydraulic hoses & cylinders
- Ability to effectively communicate with representatives within all levels of the Company.
- Experience operating heavy equipment preferred
- Should be able to lift 75lbs
