General Manager - Heavy Civil Construction
Are you an experienced and dynamic leader in the field of Heavy Civil Construction with expertise in Earthwork, Underground Utilities, Paving, and Concrete? If so, our client is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join their team as a General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of heavy civil construction projects. Your primary duties will include:
- Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality control, and project timelines.
- Operations Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of earthwork, underground utilities, paving, and concrete projects. Manage resources, budgets, and schedules to meet project goals.
- Client Relations: Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns. Ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for business growth.
- Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Provide guidance and support to project managers, estimators, and field staff.
- Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, financial reporting, and cost control. Identify and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate project risks. Implement effective risk management strategies to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on earthwork, underground utilities, paving, and concrete.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale construction projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and construction processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and financial performance.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
