About the Job
We are seeking a Senior Manager for the Direct Lending Department.
The Senior Manager of Direct Lending is accountable for the general management of the mortgage, consumer, and commercial lines of business. This includes sales, credit, collections, and asset disposal but excludes servicing functions such as payment processing, account statements, and general member inquiries. The incumbent in the role is charged with the operational and reputational integrity of the division in contributing to the fulfillment of Credit Human’s mission and the financial sustainability of the cooperative. In doing so, the incumbent in the role must stay current with industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and growth.
The role is accountable for leading multiple teams and other managers and integrating their work in pursuit of the credit union’s goals and objectives. The Senior Manager of Direct Lending is expected to develop and implement strategies that improve productivity. This role manages revenue, margin, and expense budgets annually as well as planning for longer time horizons. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders is essential.
A key aspect of the work is successfully collaborating and serving as a partner to other division managers in the organization for the mutual accomplishment of common and organizational strategic goals. Collaborating with colleagues is essential for the fulfillment of Credit Human’s priorities, strategies, and objectives. The ability to effectively coordinate and build mutual agreement across interdependent functions toward developing flexible new practices and applying innovation for future product and service breakthroughs is the means to accomplish this.

- Ensure understanding of consumer needs and use this knowledge to effectively develop and deliver new lending services and products that effectively help members create, build, and sustainably maintain financial slack for the credit union (as standalone products or in synergy with other products).
- Optimize the long-term performance of the division to contribute to the financial sustainability of the cooperative
- For situations in which the L5 manager calls for reforming an operating area to meet the organizational need to adapt to the unique nature of external environmental situations, the L4 Manager is accountable for prescribing and executing such reforms within the area of authority
Experience:
Required
- Experience in leading others, working with senior management team collaboratively, production management, credit underwriting, product development, sales, collections and asset disposal
- Experience with managing change, planning, and product line startups
- 10 or more years of increasing responsibility experience in financial services industry with focus on consumer, commercial, mortgage lending
- 10 or more years in a leadership position
- Experience managing loan origination activities, underwriting, collections, and remarketing
- Experience executing business strategies
- In-depth experience managing profit and loss financial statements
- Experience managing the managers of others
Preferred
- 7 or more years of general management experience
Education:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Computer Science or related field of study, OR equivalent experience and knowledge

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm
Salary Range: $249,000 to $263,000
