Please be advised that the General Manager role requires a standard work schedule of Wednesday through Sunday each week.
Responsibilities:
Hiring, Firing, and Employee Management:
- Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new employees, including creating job descriptions, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
- Handle employee disciplinary actions, terminations, and performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Foster a positive work culture, promote employee development, and ensure accountability.
Maintaining Company Culture:
- Uphold and promote the company culture and values, ensuring they are embedded in all aspects of park operations and employee interactions.
- Lead by example, setting high standards for professionalism, integrity, and positive workplace attitudes.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and open communication.
- Develop and implement initiatives that reinforce and enhance the company culture, such as team-building activities, recognition programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
Payroll and HR Management:
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Manage employee records, benefits administration, and performance evaluation processes.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a positive work environment.
Inventory Management and Ordering:
- Maintain inventory control systems, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Coordinate and oversee the ordering process for park supplies, merchandise, and equipment, while managing vendor relationships and negotiating favorable terms.
Park Maintenance and Operations:
- Schedule and coordinate regular park maintenance, repairs, and equipment servicing.
- Manage the coordination of park tasks, ensuring efficient and timely completion.
- Oversee park cleanliness, safety measures, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Vendor Relationships:
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Oversee vendor selection, contract management, and performance evaluation.
Customer Service and Complaint Handling:
- Address customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer service, providing exceptional experiences for park visitors.
Financial Management:
- Manage the park's Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, closely monitoring revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Develop and maintain budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets and implementing cost-saving measures where appropriate.
- Conduct regular financial analysis, provide reports to owners, and make strategic recommendations based on financial performance.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Wear multiple hats and handle other tasks as necessary to ensure the smooth and successful operation of the park.
The General Manager will report directly to the owners and provide regular updates on park operations, financial performance, HR matters, and other relevant areas.
The salary range for the position will range from $55,000 - $75,000, depending on experience.
