Job Title: General Manager
Summary:
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall operation of the pizza place, ensuring exceptional customer service, high-quality food, and a profitable business. The GM leads and develops the team, manages inventory and costs, and maintains a safe and welcoming environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Hire, train, coach, and motivate all team members.
Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team members understand their responsibilities.
Conduct performance reviews and address performance issues promptly.
Ensure compliance with all labor laws and company policies.
Customer Service:
Ensure that every customer has a positive experience.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
Maintain a clean and inviting dining area.
Foster a customer-centric culture among the team.
Operations Management:
Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening, closing, and shift changes.
Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
Ensure food quality and safety standards are met.
Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant.
Implement and enforce safety protocols.
Financial Performance:
Monitor sales, costs, and labor expenses.
Achieve financial targets and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy.
Analyze financial reports and take corrective actions as needed.
Marketing and Sales:
Implement local marketing initiatives to drive sales.
Build relationships with the local community.
Promote catering and delivery services.
Stay informed about competitor activities and market trends.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a fast-paced restaurant environment, preferably in the pizza industry.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
