Responsibilities:
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction and adherence to our brand standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage departments.
- Developing and implementing strategies to achieve key performance indicators for the hotel.
- Managing the hotel budget, including profit and loss statements, forecasting, and payroll.
- Leading and motivating a high-performing team, including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance appraisals.
- Ensuring all team members deliver excellent customer service, resolving any guest issues promptly and professionally.
- Building strong relationships with staff, guests, and the local community.
- Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to hotel operations.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Operations Manager in a select service hotel, preferably with Marriott or a similar branded hotel.
- Proven track record in team management, staff supervision, and employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality management, including guest relations, guest satisfaction, and problem-solving.
- Excellent financial acumen, with experience in budget management, profit and loss statements, and forecasting.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven experience in hiring, onboarding, training, disciplinary actions, and employee performance appraisals.
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and enhancing the guest experience.
- A degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
