What You'll Do!
As General Manager your responsibilities will include effectively managing store performance and a team of personal service providers and inventory clerks. You will oversee the retail operations such as staffing, merchandising, and patient order fulfillment processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining patient records, tracking inventory, and registering patients. You will also partner with the State Market Manager and stakeholders on marketing and wholesale initiatives, community engagement, and vendor relations for 3rd party products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the store and ensure efficient and profitable operation.
- Drive positive employee engagement with a focus on inclusion and diversity.
- Develop, coach, and execute excellent service standards and ensure consistent execution.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to motivate employees and keep them informed of rules, regulations, and laws.
- Actively manage inventory, recalls, and pricing to meet cost and sales targets.
- Effectively manage cash controls and financial reporting to highest standards.
- Train and schedule all staff, manage service labor, scheduling, and payroll.
- Conduct performance reviews with all team members on a consistent basis.
- Maintain awareness of cannabis and retail trends to create innovative and adaptive strategies.
- Maintain excellent facilities conducive to enhancing employee productivity.
- Work with the Regional State Market Manager to meet all regulatory requirements and ensure compliance.
- Promote open feedback from all team members and address any concerns immediately.
- Responsible for opening and closing of the dispensary (Key Holder).
- Processing transactions and become a subject matter expert on all functions of the PSP role.
- Maintain quality customer service and handle inquiries and complaints.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Education & Qualifications:
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, grocery, or service industry required.
- Experience working in the cannabis industry desired.
- Ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture.
- Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette.
- Ability to multitask, problem solve, make decisions independently, and maintain order during times of high stress while adapting to changing circumstances.
- Proficient in office management systems and MS Office applications.
- Effective interpersonal skills to positively influence people at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on process optimization.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle and give constructive criticism and guidance.
- Ability to articulate job goals to complete tasks effectively the first time.
- Authorized to work in the US and at least 21 years of age.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Flexibility to work 7 days per week if necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds if relevant to job duties listed above.
- Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the workday.
- Must be capable of working in front of a computer for extended periods of time based on job duties listed above.
