The General Manager will oversee operations for an independent division within a larger organization. This division plays a critical role in the overall success of the company, focusing on safety, quality standards, and profitability. This position is responsible for driving operational efficiency, setting high standards for safety and quality, and achieving acceptable margins. Reporting to the VP overseeing the division, the General Manager will collaborate with support teams from other areas of the organization to ensure alignment with broader company goals.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct, and manage daily operations to optimize resource use and foster a productive workplace culture.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities while improving project efficiencies to drive profitability.
- Manage customer relationships in alignment with the organization’s philosophies, with a focus on developing manufacturing opportunities.
- Oversee product sales and millwright services related to grain dryers, grain elevators, feed mills, and other related operations.
- Implement effective inventory management to reduce loss and ensure accurate purchasing and supply processes.
- Oversee logistics for incoming and outgoing products, identifying ways to improve processes and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA, DOT, OSHA, EPA, and state/local agencies.
- Develop and execute plans for facility and operational improvements.
- Address and resolve customer complaints in collaboration with internal support teams.
- Inform leadership about claims or issues that may impact the company’s reputation or operations.
- Recruit, manage, and develop employees across millwright, delivery, and office teams.
- Build and maintain a strong safety culture while ensuring a safe work environment.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and provide recommendations for replacements or upgrades.
- Complete additional projects as directed by division leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in millwright operations. (preferred but not required)
- 5+ years of P&L management experience.
- Background in logistics and transportation.
- Expertise in customer complaint resolution.
- Familiarity with agricultural or livestock-related industries.
- Mechanical skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management.
- Strong analytical skills for understanding complex data and processes.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in a millwright or related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated team management and leadership capabilities.
- Working knowledge of industry-related regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with computer systems.
- Strong decision-making and risk management skills.

- Capability to safely lift items weighing 50+ lbs.
- Strong listening, communication, and mathematical skills.
