Job Responsibilities
General Manager of Thayer Sports Center shall be a point of contact for all TSC points of concern, namely:
- Provide prompt, friendly customer service to all team members and customers.
- Oversee all recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff consisting of Member Service Representatives, Event Staff
and Facility Staff.
- Oversee in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all athletes, spectators and guests, and ensuring staff follows superior customer
service guidelines.
- Manage staff, their issues and concerns, and provide consistent support.
- Perform general office tasks as deemed necessary.
- Be responsible for staff training.
- Maintain all staff schedules.
- Be responsible for overseeing all aspects of building usage.
- Understand and follow company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
- Adhere to company work hours and rules regarding professional staff behavior.
- Manage facility paperwork/logs/records.
- Attend Company meetings including but not limited to General Managers/Facilities Managers/Ownership meetings.
- Be responsible for all business and communications with Thayer Sports Center tenants, including but not limited to collecting rents,
coordinating repairs, assisting in events, and understanding and executing all aspects of tenant leases.
- Maintain the entire building and property, keeping it clean and free of clutter.
- Maintain and follow Thayer Sports Center annual budget and projections.
- Perform or coordinate weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual maintenance of mechanical equipment including but not limited to arena
refrigeration packages, ice maintenance equipment, HVAC systems, boilers, heaters, elevator, wifi/communications, alarms, and all fire
safety systems.
- Coordinate service contracts against work performed and sign-off on work performed.
- Prepare materials list for dry goods weekly for the following week and order as necessary while maintaining Supplies Budget.
- To Assist the Company in evaluating ordinary repairs, alterations and improvements to the Company's Property
- Schedule and manage field house usage

Job Type: Full-time
Education: High school diploma or College degree preferred
Work Experiences: Ice Arena experience a plus
Salary: $50,000.00 - annually
