Role Overview
SodexoMagic is the joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and Sodexo. As a certified minority company, we deliver food, facilities management and integrated services to corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges and universities and aviation lounges. This strategic alliance between Magic Johnson Enterprises and Sodexo, Inc., enables us to deliver creative solutions to our clients along with our local partners throughout the communities we serve.
Sodexo’s Corporate Services is seeking a General Manager for our premier Banking client in Chicago, Illinois.
The General Manager oversees all hospitality operations per Sodexo's and client's goals, works directly with unit financials, directs customer interaction and management of the Sodexo salaried and hourly associates, including Executive Chefs. This position will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction through exceptional food and catering services, while achieving set budgeted targets. We seek a strong hospitality leader with a proven commitment to excellence in client and guest hospitality, teamwork, financial results, and collaboration to help us achieve our vision.
This location is open for Breakfast and Lunch Monday – Friday, and provides catering service five days a week inclusive of evening events. This position requires overnight travel to Detroit once per quarter.
What You'll Do
- Oversight and continued innovation of the café, catering and food delivery
- Tracking and maintaining Sodexo systems, financial outcomes, and client satisfaction
- Innovation of the retail offerings, marketing plans and catering sustainable practices
- Develop and maintain high level client and customer relationships

What You Bring
- Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, and client relations skills with the ability to work both horizontally & vertically in the organization
- Be a people person with a strong focus with maintaining positive client relations; a solid leader who is perceptive and has attention to details that make a difference, quality and presentation of food, customer service
- Have strong financial acumen, experience writing and managing budgets
- Be service focused– including providing excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment
- Have Food And Beverage or catering experience including executive dining and a deep understanding of the technical delivery aspect of catering
