General Maintenance Mechanic - Grand View Health

Under general direction, the General Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of maintenance duties throughout the hospital complex and off-site buildings.  The General Maintenance Mechanic tasks include minor and major equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, assisting other trades, and minor electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and carpentry installations and repairs, and other duties as assigned.

• Adheres to all organizational policies and procedures
• Performs related duties as assigned
• Performs unrelated duties based upon operational needs in an emergency

Schedule: 10:30 pm- 7:00 am, Tuesday- Saturday 

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma/GED, required

Vocational diploma with knowledge in the fundamentals of the mechanical systems, appliance repair, electricity, HVAC, plumbing and carpentry, highly preferred

Over 3 years to 5 years applicable work experience in institutional or industrial maintenance operations, highly preferred
