General Maintenance Laborer at Crawford Thomas Recruiting

The General Maintenance Laborer is a vital position in our daily building operations, the right candidate is a hands-on person and will be part of the maintenance team that performs general building maintenance, light repairs, throughout the facility in the areas of cleaning, painting, drywall repair and general building/grounds maintenance and landscaping.

The more well-rounded the experience the better. Any basic knowledge of plumbing or electrical is a plus. The position requires some trade experience and the ability and desire to learn new skills. The position will help out as needed in contributing to the cleanliness and organization of the building.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Performs all repair tasks as assigned according to instructions, best practices in a timely and accurate fashion Proven ability in many areas of light repair throughout the building, mechanical aptitude Understand, practice and assist in the daily enforcement of all safety practices Assist in the care and management of building property e.g., Tools, equipment, supplies Assist in the overall organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, buildings and grounds Updates building management or supervisor on the status of projects and repairs. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Possesses physical strength necessary to lift to 70 lbs regularly. Show good and safe tool operations skills Ability to carry out a thoughtful and complete plan to get through a project from start to finish Ability to plan for materials, tools, must know when to request assistance Must be high energy, enthusiastic and take great pride in all that they are responsible for Works well independently and thrives in a team atmosphere. Ability to take direction Exhibit great communication skills, essential to receiving instructions and providing updates Not afraid to ask questions. Speaks constructively when he/she sees a problem or issue. Demonstrates strong customer service skills, displays close attention to detail.
