Overview:
We are seeking an experienced General Liability Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of experience in general liability defense, be licensed to practice law in New Jersey or New York, and thrive in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of general liability matters from inception to resolution.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on general liability issues.
- Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Stay informed about developments in general liability law and industry trends.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records and billing entries.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New Jersey or New York State Bar.
- 3-8 years of experience practicing general liability defense.
- Strong litigation skills, including courtroom experience.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in legal research and writing.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience handling complex general liability matters.
- Prior experience with insurance defense work.
- Familiarity with New Jersey and New York court procedures.
- Trial experience is a plus.
