General Labor/Forklift - NEXGENS

Key Responsibilities:

1. Forklift Operation:

   • Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and stack materials as required.
   • Transport materials between different areas of the facility or job site.
   • Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any mechanical issues or malfunctions.
   • Adhere to safety guidelines while operating machinery, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

2. General Labor Duties:

   • Perform manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment.
   • Assist in the assembly, installation, or repair of products or structures as needed.
   • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, ensuring they are free from hazards.
   • Assist with inventory management by accurately recording material movements.

3. Material Handling:

   • Sort, organize, and prepare materials for distribution or disposal.
   • Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to perform specific tasks.
   • Collaborate with team members to fulfill production or project goals efficiently.

4. Safety and Compliance:

   • Follow company safety protocols and guidelines, and ensure a safe working environment.
   • Report any safety hazards, accidents, or incidents to supervisors immediately.
   • Attend regular safety training sessions and meetings.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Proven experience in general labor and forklift operation.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to forklift operation and general labor.

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Working Conditions:

• Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, depending on the job site.
• May involve exposure to dust, noise, or varying weather conditions.
• Requires wearing appropriate PPE, such as gloves, safety goggles, and steel-toed boots.
