The General Counsel Legal Secretary is the key support for the General Counsel and VP of Human Resources and works on projects associated with the facilitation and administration of activities related to the operation of the Majestic Management Legal and HR Department.

The General Counsel Legal Secretary role is an executive level legal/administrative professional with knowledge of litigation case management, insurance defense, and strong project management and organizational skills.
Responsibilities of this role:
· Maintain detailed internal dockets of litigation and HR related cases in various stages of litigation.
· Creates and organizes legal files, communication and pleading panels.
· Conducts legal research for particular issues as assigned by using periodicals, law publications, public records, and offices.
· Prepare and draft legal documents for filing with appropriate entities (including governmental agencies) and necessary correspondence.
· Proofread contracts and other sensitive documents for spelling, grammar, layout, and content, suggesting appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.
· Interfaces with outside counsel to coordinate status reports
· Interfaces with outside counsel to facilitate discovery and other requests
· Interfaces with facility leadership to coordinate requested discovery and other documents.
· Interfaces with Insurance companies to ensure necessary reporting and tracking.
· Organizes workflow of requested projects
· Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information in both electronic and manual filing systems.
· Provide input and management of the Legal and HR Intranet Site. Keeps the site updated.
· Assist in coordinating/facilitating contract review process.
· Assist in development and ongoing management of Risk Management Tracking system
· Assist in creating risk management and HR reports/graph
· Manage calendars, emails, travel arrangements and expenses.
· Perform additional support tasks: coordinate meetings, prepare documents, take notes/ meeting minutes, send meeting reminders/responses, create, and maintain files or file systems.
· Communicate with “C” level executives, customers, and vendors.
· Provides backup support for Executive Assistant and Receptionist as needed
To be successful in t his position we feel the following are needed:
Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Experience:
· At least 3 years’ law firm experience and experience providing administrative support to senior leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
· Experience working in the healthcare, human resources, or legal industry preferred.
