About the Job
The General Counsel will serve as a key legal advisor for Rising, providing strategic legal guidance and support across all business functions. This role will focus on managing legal risk, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and handling a broad range of legal matters, including contracts, corporate governance, and regulatory issues. The Corporate Counsel will work closely with the executive team and cross-functional departments, acting as a business partner to drive growth while protecting the company’s interests
Requirements
Education
· Graduate degree from an accredited law school
· Admitted into a State bar and in good standing
Experience
· 5+ years professional experience as an attorney in the casualty insurance services industry with contracting, labor law, and compliance experience
· 3+ years contracting experience
· Experience in workers’ compensation, auto, managed care, Medical Provider Network, and/or group health industry is preferred

· Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare summary reports

· Familiarity with medical billing procedures, CPT and ICD-9 codes, and carrier guidelines
· Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
