EnCompass LLC is seeking consultants to fulfill designated assignments as subject matter experts for functions related to Administrative Management Services (AMS) and Program Office operations within the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Through the anticipated Managing Our Vibrant Evolution (MOVE) contract, EnCompass will support USAID’s Bureau for Democracy, Human Rights and Governance (DRG) including efforts to create, shape, and institutionalize Bureau-level processes that form the foundation of an efficient organization.
EnCompass is seeking consultants with experience leading/managing AMS and Program Office teams to support operating units to develop, strengthen, and standardize new processes, and/or upgrade existing processes.
Assignments are expected to require in-person engagements at USAID offices in downtown Washington, DC. Preference will be given to consultants residing in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Consultants may be asked to provide a combination of the following services:
- Provide subject matter expertise on relevant USAID policies, procedures, and initiatives related to process improvements
- Liaise with groups to understand process improvement needs and goals
- Facilitate or co-facilitate team discussions, meetings, and/or retreats to identify and document key areas that support the efficiency, effectiveness, consistency, and accuracy of processes
- Document outcomes of discussions, meetings, and/or retreats
- Effectively collaborate with staff/consultants to work with clients and complete assignments, including required reporting.
- Lead or contribute to the design of accessible, fit-for-purpose tools and infographics, action plans for socializing new processes, and documentation of measures that bolster staff awareness and uptake.
- Adhere to all contractual period of performance and invoicing requirements.
Qualifications
Technical Qualifications
- Master’s degree and 10 years of professional experience required
- Minimum of 5 years working in a leadership or management role in a USAID Administrative Management Services (AMS) or Program Office required
- Proven experience identifying strengths and areas of improvement for processes to increase efficiency, effectiveness, consistency and accuracy
- Experience designing and facilitating discussions, working meetings, and/or retreats to meet the needs of client groups related to business processes strongly preferred
- Strong planning, organization, strategic thinking, communications, relationship building, and time management skills
- Ability to confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels to define needs and expectations, collaborate on projects, and communicate results
- Ability to work in an appreciative, strengths-based environment
- Ability to bring a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion lens to all activities
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
