Whether executing an IPO, a debt offering or a leveraged buyout, GCM integrates Morgan Stanley’s expertise in Sales and Trading and Investment Banking, offering clients seamless advice and sophisticated solutions. GCM originates, structures and executes public and private placement of equities, investment-grade and noninvestment-grade debt and related products. The group provides fresh ideas and broad distribution to help clients get the most out of each stage of a transaction, and continually develops capital markets solutions to enable clients to mitigate strategic, operational, credit and market risks.

Our New York City office is looking for an Analyst to join the Equity Capital Markets Coverage team.

- 0-1 year of experience in investment banking or capital markets

- Extraordinarily high level of motivation, focus on work quality, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and decision-making abilities 

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a positive attitude

- Analytical, quantitative, adaptive, hungry, a self-starter, a leader, a team player, a multitasker, and a results-oriented individual

- Commercial instinct and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines

- Interest in developing a career in Equity Capital Markets

- Bachelor’s degree is required

- Series licensing or must obtain

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
