We are looking for a Gas Analysis Applications Scientist to join our team.
Job Description:
Application scientist for the gas analysis product portfolio to support revenue growth in O&G markets and expand into adjacent markets (non-O&G) with close collaboration among the sales, marketing, engineering, service, and operations teams
- Lead application evaluation, design and testing in chromatography, spectroscopy, and surface-based sensors for new and existing applications in alignment with targeted sales and marketing growth programs
- Develop new application and technology strategies to support the product development roadmaps in close partnership with the product managers
- Assist in the development of marketing plans to promote applications in current and new markets
- Support aftermarket service team on the resolution of technical and application issues
- Support inside sales / technical support team with application reviews for new order opportunities
- Collaborate with Sales leadership and Channel partners to promote current applications, identify new applications, and provide product training
- Assist operations as needed on troubleshooting applications and other necessary product support
- Write and present technical papers for trade shows, conferences and seminars
- Other duties as required to support the growth of the business
Job RequJ Job Requirements:
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or related Sciences
- Minimum of 5-10-years experience in process instrumentation
- Experience in chromatography, photometers, spectrometers, or other analytical methods regarding applications in the process control and automation industry, specifically in refining, gas processing, petrochemicals, power, clean energy, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a sales and marketing organization and end users to develop new applications for existing products or technology
- Capable of effective interaction with internal cross functional teams (sales, service, engineering, and operations) to execute applications specific systems for end users
- Ability to work independently in determining and conducting research (design of experiments methodology), selecting and interpreting information, handling deviations from standard methods, and resolving difficulties
- Ability to synthesize information, make decision and provide recommendations regarding applications to the business
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Always maintains a high degree of personal integrity
- Ability to attract the support and cooperation of others, team player
- Windows Environment, Microsoft Office Suite
Desired but not required:
- Experience in design and development of instrumentation
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Analysis (e.g. Matlab, FEA, CFD)
