Position Overview
As the GARE Network Community Manager, you'll be a pivotal part of our team, fostering connections and engagement among racial equity practitioners. You'll manage our vibrant online community, facilitating discussions, and supporting initiatives that empower our members to drive change in government.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with our Online Community Director to develop engagement strategies that foster meaningful connections and collaboration among our members.
Identify key influencers and stakeholders within the community, organizing online and in-person events to facilitate networking and community growth.
Design and implement campaigns to encourage active participation in our online community, using automation and personalization to enhance user engagement.
Support practitioner-led initiatives and groups, providing facilitation and technical assistance to ensure vibrant discussions on racial equity in government.
Curate member-generated content and facilitate sessions that highlight successful strategies for advancing racial equity.
Partner with internal teams to align community efforts with broader organizational goals and communication strategies.
Use data insights to continuously improve community management strategies and user experience.
Build strong partnerships both internally and externally, contributing to cross-departmental projects and presenting at events.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, digital engagement, or community organization.
Demonstrated commitment to racial equity and social justice.
Experience with online community management or similar platforms preferred.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Salesforce or CRM tools is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
