iBUYPOWER is seeking a highly motivated and industry-experienced Gaming Community Specialist to join our team. As a Gaming Community Specialist, you will play a key role in engaging with our community, creating events, and fostering strong relationships with game developers, fans and customers. You will have the opportunity to shape and grow our community, contribute to the success of our brand, and create engaging activities to attract new fans.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Core/Web, Customer Support, and Product Development, to develop and implement community engagement strategies that align with our brand values and business objectives.
- Organize and host gaming community events (of various titles), both online and offline, to promote interaction, foster a sense of belonging, and strengthen the bond between our brand and our community.
- Act as one of the primary points of contact for our communities, responding to inquiries, comments, and feedback across various platforms such as social media, reddit, discord and email.
- Monitor and moderate community discussions to maintain a positive and respectful environment, ensuring that community guidelines are followed.
- Gather and analyze user feedback to identify areas for improvement and communicate insights to relevant teams, helping to shape our products and services based on community needs and preferences.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in community management, social media, gaming, tech, and PC building to continuously enhance our community initiatives and deliver an exceptional experience to our community members.
- Use social media management and community management tools to streamline processes, measure community engagement, and track the success of community initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience as a Community Specialist or similar role, with a track record of successfully building and nurturing online communities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with and connect with diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with community members, influencers, and key stakeholders.
- Passion for gaming (as an avid gamer yourself) and a solid understanding of the gaming community, including knowledge of popular games, trends, gaming platforms, and PC building.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, community management tools, and analytics platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated approach to community management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Basic knowledge of PC troubleshooting is ideal.
- If hired, must provide proof of full vaccination on start date, unless prohibited by federal, state, or local law. Full vaccination means receiving the second dose in a two-dose series (i.e. Pfizer, Moderna), or a single-dose vaccine (i.e J&J). Examples of proof of full vaccination include an original, photocopied, or digitally completed vaccination card that includes name, type of vaccine provided, and date of last dose administered.
