Furniture Mover and Delivery Driver - Arch Interim Housing/Empire Furniture Rental

Position: Furniture Mover and Delivery Driver

We are seeking a motivated furniture mover and delivery driver to join our team. You will be responsible for thoughtfully moving and setting up furniture and representing our brand in the community. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.

Responsibilities:

• Load and drive the truck safely.
• Complete deliveries, engaging customers with quick, efficient, and friendly customer service. Ensure all delivery contents are complete and of top quality.
• Handle furniture and décor with care, ensuring adequate protection for items during transit and moving and taking care not to damage the client’s home.
• Oversee truck maintenance schedule to ensure truck stays in good condition.
• Work with apartment leasing agents politely and in a friendly manner to obtain the keys and enter the apartments.
• Problem solve at destination in order to locate keys, set up the apartment in an attractive, presentable manner, and address any issues that might emerge.
• Work thoughtfully with moving team to move items in a safe, protected and efficient manner.
• Maintain a positive attitude; contribute to an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.
• Maintain strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
• Report to work when scheduled and on time.
• Perform other job related duties and special projects as required.

Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to listen effectively, build rapport, and convey information clearly.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to travel locally and work flexible hours as needed.
• Valid driver’s license with strong driving record.
• Must be physically able to exert up to 100 pounds of force (shared team lifting) occasionally; exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Hours: M-F 7am-3:30pm, opportunity for some overtime

Salary

$20 - $22 per hour
