Fund Accountant Job Description
CFS is partnering with a local Investment Management organization who is looking for their next Fund Accountant. This organization is focused on the origination and acquisition of
short-dated private mortgages. An SEC registered investment advisor, this company manages a portfolio of
funds and separately managed vehicles with committed capital of over $650 million.
The Fund Accountant role will be reporting to the Managing Director of Accounting & Fund
Operations. The Fund Accountant will work closely with the investment team, loan servicing team, and third-party service providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of fund accounting, financial reporting and all aspects of back-office support.

Job Duties:
- Responsible for daily bookkeeping of the loan servicing entity and other business entities handled in-house.
- Manage the firm’s administrator on the production of monthly financial reporting deliverables and
- NAV calculations.
- Collaborate across teams with the investment, servicing and asset management teams to ensure
- comprehensive accounting for assigned Funds.
- Calculate and review quarterly income distributions, redemptions and monthly management fees.
- Support the annual Fund audits and tax preparation by providing supporting documentation as
- Preparation of deal funding wires.
- Management of cash and short-term borrowings.
- Involvement in investor onboarding processing and handling of subscription documents.
- Assume back-up responsibilities for other accounting functions such as A/P.
- Flexibility to take on additional duties when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA is a plus
- 2-5 years of fund accounting experience within the financial services industry with exposure to open
- and closed-ended fund structures. Exposure to interval funds and/or 1940 Act structures is a plus.

- Deliverable focused and detail-oriented
- Must be able to take initiative and work independently, efficiently and possess excellent organization
- and prioritization skills.
