Purpose and Scope
The primary focus of the Functional Advisor is to provide collaborative high quality support for Heartland Food Management System across respective Nutrition Services organization. This includes: Acting as SME for respective support areas, providing front line support to respective business areas, working directly with respective business areas, configuring system to support business needs and reporting needs.
Essential Job Functions
Collaborates with support areas and District IT to resolve application issues.Assists with continuous business process improvement and provide insights into best practices for the Food Management System.Assists in project planning, presentation and implementation; prepares and recommends network specifications to satisfy customer requirements; prepares technical drawings as needed; assists in developing installation schedules in coordination with department staff and staff in affected areas.Coordinates functional testing for the Food Management System changes and upgrades with technical team.Conducts Food Management System business processes analysis and design, data modeling, process flow modeling, and business process reengineering.Maps and documents business processes and business rules.Creates and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for business areas.Works daily hand in hand with business to identify the Food Management System reporting requirements, business configuration needs, and create requirements documents for IT.Assists in insuring the Food Management System and Food Management System-related systems and procedures are in compliance with Federal, State, and District policies. Validates custom created reports before implementing into the Food Management System Production.Attends technical workshops, seminars, staff and committee meetings.Serves as liaison between District IT and Business; provides communication and status reporting to Business leadership as necessary.Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related area. Plus, an additional 4 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of related, education/experience totaling 8 years. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).
