Position & Compensation Details
Position: Post Partum/Lactation Consultant RN- Full Time
Start Date: ASAP (Flexible with start dates)
Hours: 36/ wk (3x12)
Shift: 7a-7p
Salary: $32-$53/ hr depending on experience ($60k/ yr-$99k/ yr)
Sign on Bonus: Varies depending on experience
If this role is for you, you would be responsible for:
Providing important physical and emotional care and recovery for both the new mom and the newborn baby following a delivery
Taking mothers vital signs
Measuring input/output of mother and infant
Monitoring mother and infant and reports adverse reactions to any treatments or medications being given
Encouraging breastfeeding for infant health
Evaluate parent and baby interest in breastfeeding; providing specialized help for mothers
Regularly assess the efficiency of the breastfeeding program and make necessary changes if required
Participate in collecting data and reporting on neonatal outcomes, specifically those related to breastfeeding
- Completing paperwork and patient charting.
- Managing multiple cases simultaneously, prioritizing needs continually
- Delegating tasks and care to appropriate staff and ensuring timely follow-up
- Preserving and protecting the confidentiality, autonomy, dignity and rights of patients and family, and representing their concerns.

Qualifications and Education Required:
1+ year(s) of post partum RN experience required
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
Unencumbered Texas or Compact RN license required
Nicotine Free
BLS required
