Full Time live-out Nanny required for a Gramercy Park family with an infant son (born December 2024) starting no later April 1, 2025. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with their son in a loving, attentive and age-appropriate way. Providing support for the whole household is a priority with organization, light housekeeping and preparing meals expected. To be successful in this role, you will need to be efficient, neat and a natural multi-tasker. The family is looking for a long term partnership (both parents work from home) with a nanny who is compassionate, respectful, easy going, and responsible. A mature, discreet and experienced Nanny would be an ideal match for this family.
Strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and common sense/good judgment are key to this role. Having a flexible schedule to accommodate earlier/longer days and domestic travel is required. A second language is highly preferred (Spanish, Portuguese, or Greek would be ideal), however the family will consider all qualified candidates.
Location: Gramercy Park, Manhattan - plus support as needed in California + Berkshires
Start date: No later than April 1, 2025 (Family open to securing the ideal candidate ASAP)
Days/times: Guaranteed 40 hours/week, specific schedule to be discussed, with general hours landing Monday through Friday. Flexibility is desired with availability to flex as needed for earlier/later days and to accommodate weekly date nights, weekends and domestic travel.
Children: Son (born December 2024)
Conditions: $30 - $40 per hour* plus unlimited metrocard, sick/personal days, vacation and public holidays *dependent on experience and other considerations. The family is open to offering a healthcare stipend based on candidate needs.
For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:
- A minimum of 10+ years experience, mature career nanny preferred
- A well-suited demeanor for working infants and toddlers
- Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality and high emotional intelligence
- Proven tenure with multiple families including excellent references
- Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
- An open and flexible schedule - including early mornings/late evenings, date nights, weekends and domestic travel.
- Ability to complete all child related duties in addition to household tasks (family does employ housekeeper)
