The Longwood Medical Area Childcare Center (LMACCC) is hiring a Full-Time Infant Teacher to join our team. Infant Teacher Responsibilities:
- Gain a positive, hands-on experience engaging with infants.
- Assist the Infant/Toddler Supervisor and Preschool Supervisor as needed.
- In order to best accommodate LMACCC staff, full-time teachers will work two early shifts per week, two late shifts per week, and one rotating shift per week. Early shifts are from 6:30 am-2:30 pm and late shifts are 10 am-6 pm.
- Create an encouraging, welcoming, and safe environment that helps promote positive social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Encourage and foster positive relationships, interactions, and communication between staff, parents, and children.
Infant Teacher Requirements:
- Infant/Toddler EEC certification.
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated experience working with children; child care, daycare, or preschool preferred.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, physically lift a minimum of 35 pounds, participate in physical activities including walking with children, go up and down stairs while supervising children, and always maintain full sight and sound supervision of children.
Infant Teacher Qualifications:
- Positive, reliable, collaborative, and encouraging personality.
- Patient, creative, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively.
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak, read, and write English.
