About the Job
A returning client is recruiting for a highly experienced Housekeeper, to help in their large formal residence in Miami. The role will be in support of the existing management team, and to work within an existing team of Housekeepers.
Duties will include:
• Ensuring the smooth cleaning and running of the household and anticipate the principals’ needs, where required.
• Provide hands-on personal service for the principals, if required.
• Help with household inventories including groceries.
• Liaise and coordinate with security and transportation staff if required.
• Cleaning and care of museum quality furnishings, artwork, fine collectibles, antiques, etc.
• Perform general cleaning of kitchen, baths, and bedrooms daily, including vacuuming and mopping floors, vacuuming furniture, carpeting and draperies, and dusting.
• Handle the daily graces (i.e. fresh towels in the bathrooms, making beds, wiping bathroom and kitchen counters, loading and unloading dishwasher, etc.).
• Wash inside windows, woodwork, etc.
• Polish silver as needed.
• Execute periodic seasonal or deep-clean projects such as bookshelves, closets, storage areas, etc.
• Assist with laundry functions, including ironing of all clothing and linens, care of fine garments, and assistance with packing and unpacking for travel.
• Organize and maintain all clothes, closets and drawers as needed by employer.
• Provide additional personal assistant support as needed.
Candidate profile:
• Must be legally able to work in the U.S.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken
• Professional demeanor and appearance, calm and easy going, with a friendly nature
• Extensive experience in a similar position
• Child friendly.
• Extensive experience and knowledge of caring for antiques, artwork, fine furnishings and clothing, crystal, fine china, silver, brass, marble, fine linens, cookware, etc.
• Must demonstrate honesty, integrity, discretion and good judgment.
• Team player with a “no task too small” mentality;
• Acute attention to detail
• Tech savvy and familiar with Smart Home systems.
• Well presented at all times, (uniform will be provided), non-drug user, and willing to take a pre-employment physical, psychological exam and drug screen. No drinking or smoking on the premises.
HOURS AND TERMS:
• General schedule Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. Must have flexibility for weekend work as needed.
• Must be flexible to the needs of the employer; weekend hours or earlier/later start times may be required.
• Salary commensurate with experience, over-time will be paid for additional hours.
