Job Description

A private family of five (two adults and three children, ages 10, 15, and 17) residing on the Upper East Side of NYC is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time live-out Housekeeper/Cook. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and flexible, with a proactive attitude and a passion for maintaining a warm and welcoming home.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping Duties:

• Daily cleaning and maintenance of the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living spaces.
• Organization of closets, cabinets, and storage areas.
• Laundry and ironing, with care for delicate and fine fabrics.
• Managing household supplies and inventory, ensuring the home is fully stocked.

Cooking Duties:

• Preparing simple healthy, well-balanced meals for the family, with a focus on fresh ingredients and family preferences.
• Meal planning and grocery shopping.
• Cleaning and organizing the kitchen after meals.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Occasional errands as needed.
• Assisting with family events or entertaining.
• Providing flexibility to work some weekends if required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a housekeeper/cook in a private home.
• Excellent cooking skills with the ability to cater to family preferences.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Flexibility in schedule, including availability for some weekend work.
• Must be comfortable working in a home with children and be respectful of family routines.
• Valid US Work Authorization
