About the Role
- We are seeking a dedicated team member to create a welcoming and safe environment for all members while fostering positive relationships and promoting an active, healthy lifestyle. The role involves supervising and engaging with members, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring effective communication with the partner and committee members.
What you"ll do
- Member Experience: Create a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for all members. Supervise activities to ensure member safety and adherence to established procedures, policies, and guidelines.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with members, residents, partners, the manager, and the Simplex team.
- Engagement and Activities: Plan and engage members in recreational and fitness activities appropriate to their needs and interests. Provide fitness orientations, kinesthetic guidance, and support during activities.
- Safety and First Aid: Attend to members" physical needs, including administering basic first aid and CPR as required.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, including equipment, supplies, exercise areas, locker rooms, and furniture. Ensure all areas are safe, sanitized, and well-maintained daily.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, such as daily cleaning logs, personal training tracking, group exercise participation, and other necessary documentation.
- Training and Development: Attend mandatory training sessions and meetings to stay informed and aligned with organizational goals and standards.
- Additional Responsibilities: Group Exercise classes may be taught within the scope and certifications of the candidate. Personal Training commission opportunities available to those who are certified depending on experience. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- The temperature in the work environment can be warm and humid due to the account of the indoor pool.

Qualifications
- Hold a current Nationally recognized Personal Training Certification, Group Exercise Certification and/or a degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or Related Field
- Certifications required within 30 days of hire:
- American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid
- Experience working with the elderly is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
- Ability to consistently work scheduled shifts and attend staff meetings.
- Ability to work in a high paced environment.
- Estimated Wage: $17-$19 / hour based on experience and availability. Personal Training Commission ranges 30%-50% based on experience.
This location is open 7 days a week; some nights and weekends will be required.
