We are a team who care and enjoy working hard each day to create meaningful and delicious experiences for our guests! DERU Market is a chef owned neighborhood eatery in Kirkland. We are passionate about cooking from scratch with amazing local and organic ingredients along with providing an excellent experience for our guests! We are always looking for high energy individuals who love crafting delicious quality drinks (expresso, coffee, tea, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages) in a high volume environment!
Position Pay: The overall hourly pay for this position is $23 - $26 per hour
-This average rate includes an hourly base rate of $16.28 plus expected hourly tips
FOH Position: Hiring baristas (must have 1-2yrs experience); however, this individual will be expected to work other positions including the below as training progresses in a casual, fast paced Takeaway and Dine In environment.

• Host and Cashiers
• Takeaway Staff
• Phone Sales
Schedule Availability: This position includes early mornings and late evenings shifts along with weekend availability is a must.

THE ROLE - PERFORMANCE EXPECTATION / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Provides generous hospitality to our guests and team members by making eye contact and greeting them enthusiastically
• Crafting and presenting high quality espresso drinks in accordance to Victrola Roaster's training and dial in parameters
• Thorough understanding of the ingredients in our products and can confidently explain the food and beverage menu
• Successful completion of opening, restocking and closing duties for the barista station with high attention to detail
• Answering phones and graciously receiving orders from our guests via the POS System
• Champions the cleanliness and organization of work spaces and our dining room
• Assists with replenishing products and dry good supplies at DERU
• Thorough understanding of touch-screen POS order system
• Answers guest questions or asks for assistance if needed
• Treats customers and team with courtesy and respect
• Positively responds to direction and requests
• Participates in training and attends classes
• Stays productive during slow peak times

WHAT IS DERU'S HIRING PROCESS:
